On May 9th, 1950, the French politician and Minister of the Interior, Robert Schuman, became one of the “father founders” of the European Union, giving life to the European idea. At its foundation, he places the “fusion” of interests and “creative efforts”, the aspiration to which gives us the privilege to be citizens of Europe today. Nowadays, 500 million people have a common home and enjoy the unique feeling of belonging, which only the “united in its diversity” Europe can evoke.
The Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds (CEAOEF) has the pleasure to greet all Bulgarian citizens with the Day of Europe!
CEAOEF’s President Ms. Monika Panayotova expresses her belief that the Committee will continue to “bring Europe closer” to the national agenda with the same enthusiasm, motivation and creativity as well as with the help of all citizens who share Konrad Adenauer’s thought that “European unity was a dream of a few people. It became a hope for many. Today it is a necessity for all of us.”
