A meeting between the Legal Affairs Committee members and the Ambassadors of the United States, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland and the United Kingdom will take place on 4 September 2012, at 11:30 a.m., in the parliamentary premises located on Alexander Battenberg Square.

The meeting will discuss the procedure for the upcoming hearings of candidates for members of the Supreme Judicial Council. It provides an opportunity for the diplomatic community to get acquainted with the legal provisions related to ensuring transparency of the election of SJC members. What is more, the meeting is a demonstration of the Committee’s enthusiasm and commitment to conducting effective, transparent and open hearings of the candidates for members of the SJC.

After the meeting, representatives of the media will have the opportunity to pose questions to the Committee members and the Ambassadors.
