The President of the National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva and MPs attended the solemn fireworks-retreat on the occasion of 143 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria on “Narodno sabranie” Sq.

At the beginning of the ceremony, which took place in front of the monument of Tsar Osvoboditel in Sofia, the sacred flags of the Bulgarian Army were welcomed. The memory of those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria was honoured with a minute of silence and kneeling. The national anthem was performed and wreaths and flowers were presented.
