"Likhachev's lifework is of intransient and crucial significance for Bulgaria," Pirinski said at the opening of the observances of the 100th birth anniversary of the great scientist

National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski attended the formal opening of the observances of the 100th birth anniversary of Academician Dmitry Likhachev in St Petersburg on 28 November 2006.
At the forum, Pirinski made a speech devoted to Likhachev's lifework and his connection with Bulgaria.
"For us, the Bulgarians, the 100th birth anniversary of Academician Dmitry Likhachev is an exciting occasion to honour once again this man and his lifework, which is of intransient and crucial significance for Bulgaria," Pirinski said.
At the forum, Pirinski made a speech devoted to Likhachev's lifework and his connection with Bulgaria.
"For us, the Bulgarians, the 100th birth anniversary of Academician Dmitry Likhachev is an exciting occasion to honour once again this man and his lifework, which is of intransient and crucial significance for Bulgaria," Pirinski said.
