Parliament adopted at first reading amendments to the Energy Efficiency Act related to Bulgaria's commitments in connection with the country's accession to the EU

On its plenary sitting on 7 December 2006, the National Assembly adopted at first reading amendments to the Energy Efficiency Act in connection with the commitments assumed by Bulgaria in the negotiation process for its accession to the EU under Chapter 3, Freedom to Provide Services.
The National Assembly also adopted:
• AMENDING ACT TO THE ACCOUNTANCY ACT.
• RATIFICATION ACT OF THE PROTOCOL AMENDING THE AGREEMENT ON TRADE-RELATED ASPECTS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (THE TRIPS AGREEMENT).
• RATIFICATION ACT OF THE AGREEMENT AMENDING THE CENTRAL EUROPEAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT.
• PROVISION OF DISTANCE FINANCIAL SERVICES ACT.
• AMENDING ACT TO THE ATTORNEY ACT.
• AMENDING ACT TO THE STATE PROPERTY ACT.
• AMENDING BILL TO THE BULGARIAN IDENTITY PAPERS ACT - at first reading.
The National Assembly also adopted:
• AMENDING ACT TO THE ACCOUNTANCY ACT.
