On 23 January 2007, National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski received UK Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott.
Pirinski expressеd gratitude for Britain's consistent and especially valuable support for Bulgaria's accession to the EU. The British Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott reaffirmed his country's position on EU enlargement and noted the necessity of finding new institutional decisions for the development of the EU.
