At his meeting with Radio Free Europe President Mr. Thomas Dine, the President of the National Assembly Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov undertook to assist in the efforts that the organisation’s Bulgarian Service should not end its broadcasting.

Radio Free Europe has a large audience and categorically gained place on the Bulgarian market; journalists working in the radio have proved themselves as professionals, said Prof. Gerdjikov. “It will be a grave loss if the Bulgarian broadcasts end”, he added.

During his visit in Bulgaria, Mr. Thomas Dine is going to look for support by the Bulgarian politicians to keep RFU’s Bulgarian Service broadcasting from now on.

Currently, Radio Free Europe broadcasts to 25 countries in 34 languages.
