The 29th plenary session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization was unveiled in Varna

The 29th plenary session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (PABSEC) was officially unveiled in the town of Varna (on Black Sea) on 13 June 2007 with an address by National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski. Addresses by President of the Republic of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov and Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization Chairman and Foreign Minister of Turkey Abdullah Gul were read.
Bulgaria hosts the spring plenary session of of the General Assembly PABSEC. The regional forum takes place in Varna on 13 and 14 June 2007. Over 140 MPs, representatives of the European Parliament and the European Commission, observers and guests participate in it.
Bulgaria holds PABSEC presidency since the beginning of 2007.
PABSEC session in Varna focuses on the activation of the relations between the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) and the European Union and on the deepening of the interaction between PABSEC and the European Parliament.
PABSEC President for the first half of 2007 and National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski expressed his expectations that the session would be important for the Black Sea cooperation in the light of the new prospects before the region.
Georgia will take over PABSEC Presidency as of 1 July 2007.
