National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski met with a Russian parliamentary delegation of the Russia-Bulgaria Friendship Group of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, led by its Chairman Evgeny Fyodorov. The Russian parliamentary delegation is paying a three-day official visit to Bulgaria.

Bulgaria and Russia reaffirmed their interest in deepening cooperation in all areas on a pragmatic and long-term basis, it emerged after the talks. Trade and economic contacts, energy, investment partnership, transport, tourism and regional contacts were defined as priorities within the bilateral relations.

The delegation of the Russia-Bulgaria Friendship Group of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, led by its Chairman Evgeny Fyodorov, also met with the leaderships of the Bulgaria-Russia Friendship Group and the Economic Policy Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.
