Adopting the amendments to the Local Elections Act, the 40th National Assembly put an end to its sixth session

At the final plenary sitting of its sixth session, held on 27 July 2007, the 40th National Assembly adopted:
- AMENDING ACT TO THE LOCAL ELECTIONS ACT.
- THE CONTESTED PARTICULAR PROVISION OF THE AMENDING ACT TO THE FOREIGNERS IN THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA ACT, adopted by the National Assembly on 22.06.2007 and returned by a Presidential Decree No 202 pursuant to Article 101 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- AMENDING ACT TO THE LABOUR CODE.
According to the Rules of Organisation and Procedure of the 40th National Assembly, Parliament shall be in recess from 1 to 31 August, each year.
The parliamentary standing committees and political groups will start their work on 1 September 2007.
The next plenary sitting will be held on 12 September 2007.
