On 21 September 2007, National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski conferred with Philippe de Buck, Secretary General of the European Employers and Industrialists Confederation BUSINESSEUROPE.

Mr. De Buck, leader of the most powerful business union in Europe, is paying a visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of the Bulgarian Industrial Association.

The development of the Bulgarian economy, BUSINESSEUROPE's priorities, the dialogue between business, institutions and employers' organisations were among the subjects under discussion during the meeting.

EU energy strategy and energy efficiency policy, the fight against the grey economy in Bulgaria, as well as the challenges and prospects before the business in Europe, were also of the highlights in the talks.
