The National Assembly conclusively adopted the Ombudsman Act.
The Parliament should elect Ombudsman within three months after the law’s entry into force on 1 January 2004. The Ombudsman should be Bulgarian citizen with university education who has high morale and meets the criteria for nominating a national representative.

The amendments to the Access to Public Information Act and the Foodstuffs Act were adopted at first reading.
