National Assembly Chairman, Georgi Pirinski sent a congratulation address to the newly elected President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev.
The congratulations address says:" Please accept my sincerest congratulations on the occasion of your election as the President of the Russian Federation. I wish you successful work on this position of highest responsibility for the benefit of the Russian people and the further development of the Russian Federation".
I am convinced that as a President of the Russian Federation you will contribute further for the development of the relations between our two countries in the framework of our last agreements, reached in January, 2008 in Sofia.
I take a great pleasure on this day, the National day of Bulgaria - March 3rd, when we celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Russian - Turkish liberation war, which laid the reestablishment of the Bulgarian statehood, to extend to you my best wishes for good health, personal happiness and a lot of success on your high ranking and of a great responsibility mission.
