National Assembly hosts the 30th Session of the Committee for Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly

The main topic of discussion at the 30th Session of the Committee for Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly will be the impact of the social cohesion in the member countries on the political stability in the Region. The Forum is to be held on 26-27 March 2008 in Sofia.
The meeting is to be opened at 11.00 am on March 26th by the Committee’s President, Alexandros Dermentsopolus. Prof. Luben Kornezov is expected to extend an official address to the participants.
Debates on the means of interaction between PABSEC and the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and the accomplishments of the BSEC Foreign Affairs Ministers Council and the EU Foreign Affairs Ministers Council special session, held on 14 February 2008 in Kiev are on the agenda.
On its first day the parliamentarians are expected to approve the Protocol of the 29th Session held in Baku, 3-4 October 2007 by the Committee for Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs.
They will discuss and adopt a draft report entitled “The social solidarity in the OBSEC member countries as an essential factor to the political stability “. The report is to be presented by Nadika Momirov.
The participants will adopt a recommendation regarding the “Politics of social solidarity in the member countries and its importance for political stability”. The meeting will designate a reporter on the subject in front of the Organization’s General Assembly.
On March 27th 2008 a Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs will be elected and date and agenda for next session will be determined.
