The changes, discussed at first reading, envisage the introduction of quota for people with permanent disabilities, giving them the right to be employed as civil servants in the state administration. For every 26 to 100 civil servants employed state institutions will be obliged to hire at least one civil servant with permanent disability. The bill also foresees the conduct of competitions for such positions, every four months, until the position is filled in, and a fine of up to BGN 5 000 for heads of state administrations, not conforming to the law.
MPs discussed amendments to the National Assembly Rules of organization and procedure in order to establish permanent committee and subcommittee for the supervision of the security services in the country.
