The Economic and Social Council faces the challenge to be instrumental in formulating the trends of the country’s economic development in the years ahead. Its forecasts should also reflect the world trends, noted the chair of the National Assembly Georgi Pirinski.

The speaker of parliament stressed that the other challenge before the Council was to work on the real problems of society in order for the country to advance forward.

The Economic and Social Council employs many professionals, competent to analyze and find out the best solutions for Bulgaria, added Mr. Pirinski. He went on to say that the tripartite dialogue brings stability to the country but the latter could be easily exhausted if the parties were not enough active, committed and responsible in finding the right answers.

According to Mr. Pirinski, the country should take full advantage of the Economic and Social Council’s potential and through the exchange of ideas, opinions and suggestions should find the best economic solutions so as to combine the interests of all parties, namely the state, the citizens and the business.

The 5th anniversary of the ESC celebration was attended by members of parliament, ministers, ECS and state officials and trade unions representatives.
