The Bill on amendment and supplement to the Forests Act was adopted by the National Assembly on January 16, 2009, Friday. The provisions of the above law were voted almost unanimously or with close to full majority.

The work on the required for publishing checking and assembling of the texts was performed in the period between the following Monday –Tuesday, 19-20 January, 2009.

In the afternoon, on January 20, 2009, the Act was forwarded by the Chairman of the National Assembly to President Georgi Purvanov in order for him to issue the Decree for the promulgation of the act in the State Gazette.
