Younal Loutfi Elected Vice President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE)

The National Assembly deputy chairperson, Younal Loutfi, was elected as vice –president of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) at the opening of its session in Strasbourg, on January 26, 2009.
Mr. Loutfi has been a member of the Bulgarian delegation to PACE since 1991. He was nominated as its leader in 2001. He served previously as vice president of PACE in the period 2000-2003.
The agenda of PACE’s current session, which is to be held until January 30th ,will cover such topics as the South Caucasus in the aftermath of the war, the situation in the Gaza Stripe and the World economic crisis.
