Setting up a direct airline between Sofia and Zagreb and the development of bilateral relations in tourism and economy were among the accents in the conversation between the Bulgarian parliamentarians and the Croatian President Stjepan Mesić.

“Bulgaria hails and supports Croatia’s aspirations to European integration. The road to EU integration provides opportunities for beneficial cooperation between the two countries,” said National Assembly President Gerdjikov.

“We support Croatia’s efforts to join NATO and we express readiness to support Croatia on bilateral and multilateral basis. In this respect, we consider the continuation of the cooperation within Vilnius process as beneficial,” he added.
