The resolution to set up an ad hoc Committee was adopted by the NA on 18 February, 2009. The decision aims for a thorough inspection of the legal papers and the ways of acquisition of lands and properties in the Student Town in Sofia. The duration for the work of the Committee was fixed at two months. The committee has to examine whether the procedures for restitution and building permits were lawful. It also has to check whether the operation of some properties complies with the laws.
