The Senate of Belgium is scheduled to hold a conference dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Tarnovo Constitution on March 30, 2009. National Assembly chairman Georgi Pirinski and the speaker of the Senate of the Kingdom of Belgium Armand De Decker are to deliver the opening speeches at the forum.

The conference is divided into two panels under different titles. “Legacy of the Past” is the subject of the first panel which will be moderated by the Senate’s Vice - President and Chairman of the friendship group Belgium – Bulgaria in the federal parliament Hugo Vandenberghe. Georgi Pirinski is the key lecturer on the topic of the first panel. Philipe Lovo, professor at the University of Paris -I Law Faculty and the Free University of Brussels, and the Bulgarian Constitutional Court Justice and professor at the Law Faculty of Sofia University “Kliment Ohridski” Dimiter Tokushev are to report on the topic.

National Assembly chairman Georgi Pirinski will preside over the second panel entitled “The Outlooks for Tomorrow”. Lecturers on this topic are to be the Bulgarian MP and associate professor at Sofia University Georgi Bliznashki and the Catholic University at Louvain – la - Neuve professor Francis Delpere.
