On the occasion of the tragic Air France aircraft accident the National Assembly Speaker Georgi Pirinski sent on 3 June 2009 letters of condolence to the Speakers of Parliament of France - Bernard Accoyer, of Brazil – Arlindo Chinaglia and of Germany – Norbert Lammert.

In the letters the Speaker gives expression to his deepest condolences on the occasion of the terrible plane crash that has caused the death of so many people. Further on he expresses inclusiveness and points out that the members of Bulgarian parliament as well as the entire Bulgarian public share the grief of the citizens of the three countries.
