The president of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva, has sent on 20 July 2009, congratulations to Nikolay Nikolov, Head of the National Youth Mathematics team and also to the students, participants on the occasion of their successful presentation at the 50th International Mathematics Olympiad in Bremen, Germany.

“The medals won by you in this last row of the renowned competition bring once again glory and a sense of national pride to our country”, says the letter.
“Your success in this prestigious international contest has confirmed Bulgaria’s undeniable place in world mathematics. Your exceptional achievements prove also the outstanding professional level and traditions of the Bulgarian national school of mathematics “continues Mrs. Tsacheva.

The head of parliament sent an additional congratulatory letter to the gold medalist at the Olympiad- the high school of mathematics’ student Luboslav Penchev. Mrs. Tsacheva, states in her letter that his achievement is an eloquent proof of the enormous talent and capacities of young Bulgarians. She further voices her confidence that this victory will serve as inspiration to all students in Bulgaria who aspire to top knowledge and the high standards of the European education.
