The Committee on Economic Policy, Energy and Tourism held its first sitting. Adopted its Internal Rules and considered an International Agreement ratification bill

At its first meeting on 6 August 2009, the parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Energy and Tourism approved the ratification bill on the Interim Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Community and its Member States of the one part and the Central Africa on the other. The ratification bill was submitted by the Council of Ministers on 21 July 2009 and is now ready for floor discussion.
The next important document adopted was the Internal Rules of Organization of the Committee. The rules stipulate that the Committee will hold regular meetings on Wednesdays at 2 pm in hall “Zapad” of the National Assembly.
The Committee Chairman Martin Dimitrov announced that the report of the Agency for post-privatization control concerning its activities was received in the committee. The committee members decided to consider the document on their next meeting, scheduled for 19 August 2009. They further decided to invite the Vice-premier and Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov, the Economic Policy, Energy and Tourism minister Trayko Traykov and the Executive director of the Agency for post-privatization control Atanaska Bozova to attend the meeting.
