Ivan Iskrov nominated for Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB)

The National Assembly voted at the sitting on August 26, 2009 with 195 votes “for”, 1 against and 14 abstentions to appoint Ivan Iskrov for the second term to the post of Governor of the National Bank, as of October 10th 2009.
The Assembly passed the ratification bills previewed in the agenda.
Snegana Dukova and Antoniy Iordanov, both on the GERB political party ticket from the multi - mandate electoral districts of Sofia and Plovdiv were sworn in as Members of the National Assembly.
At the beginning of the sitting, the Members of parliament paid tribute in memory of the late MPs Alexander Bozhkov and Margarita Paneva with one-minute silence.
