National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva – Ambassadors of Japan and China – Meetings

The National Assembly President, Mrs. Tsetska Tsacheva has received on August 31, 2009 the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan and China - H.E. Tsuneharo Takeda and H.E. Zhang Wanxue.

At the meeting with the Japanese ambassador both officials gave high assessment to the relations between Bulgaria and Japan and confirmed the will for their further deepening and development. Ambassador Tsuneharo Takeda noted that in the last twenty years the bilateral relations have reached a substantial progress and emphasized on the considerable financial support provided to Bulgaria by Japan during the transition years.

Ambassador Tsuneharo Takeda informed Mrs. Tsetska Tsacheva about the parliamentary elections held in Japan on August 30th 2009. During the talks, both parties agreed that cooperation at the level of friendship groups and committees of the parliaments of the two countries could play substantial role in the development of the friendly relations.

During the audience with the ambassador of the Republic of China, Zhang Wanxue, it was noted that the high level visits held between Bulgaria and China over the last years prove the joint aim of the two countries to develop long term, friendly and partners relations. The two parties confirmed the existing will to increase the volume of trade and economic relations between their countries. The Chinese ambassador forwarded greetings on behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of China’s President U.Bango.

The Chair of the Bulgarian parliament informed the two ambassadors about the legislative priorities of the 41st National Assembly.
