Bulgaria to host the next meeting of the Women Speakers of Parliament of the EU Member States

Bulgaria will host the next meeting of the Women, Heads of Parliament of the Member States of the European Union. This was confirmed at the meeting of National Assembly Chair Tsetska Tsacheva with the Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Austria Barbara Pramer on November 23, 2009 in Vienna.

Barbara Pramer, who is the pioneer of this informal club, is among the most fervent and active advocates of women equality at all levels of political, economic and social life.

National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva, who became the newest member of this club, accepted the idea as a recognition to Bulgaria for the role and participation of women in the political life of country.
