Tsetska Tsacheva congratulates Sofia University “ St. Kliment Ohridski”’s leadership, professors and students on their Alma Mater’s fete

National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva has sent, November 25, 2009 a congratulatory letter to Prof. Ivan Ilchev, head of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski “on the occasion of the Alma Mater’s Patron day.

"It is a high honor and pleasure for every Bulgarian statesman to address the academic leadership, the professors and students of Sofia University. I would like to extend my sincere greetings to all of you on this November 25, when you celebrate the day of your Alma Mater’s, the first Bulgarian higher educational institution's Patron day - St. Kliment Ohridski", reads the letter.

"Let me reassure you, Mr. Rector, that the lawmakers in the 41st National Assembly share the joy of our Alma Mater. Because to all of us and the whole Bulgarian society, Sofia University associates with caring educational traditions, preserved with the time, with high standards and optimistic prospects for its future development as a respectful and highly appreciated European academic institution. The many talented students who have the privilege to be graduates of the University "St. Kliment Ohridski " are the school’s largest capital and most convincing proof of its ability to help the upbringing of personalities that occupy a notable place among the spiritual, leading and business elite of the nation," notes Tsetska Tsacheva.

The National Assembly President states in her address that the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria will continue to support the noble efforts of the University’s scientific research and academic activities in order to make them successful and a source of pride for the whole society.
