The President of the National Assembly Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov and his Armenian guest underlined the very good political cooperation between the two countries. They shared the opinion that the potential of the trade and economic relations has not been enough developed. Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov stressed that the politicians of the two countries must do their best on intensifying this process.

President Kocharian stated that Bulgaria and Armenia have a common goal – EU membership. Our country could use Bulgaria’s experience on her way to European structures, he said.

The traditional cultural relations between the Bulgarian and Armenian people and the important role of the Armenians in cultural and public life of Bulgaria were highlighted during the meeting.
