Parliament adopted at first reading amendments to the Social Insurance Code aimed at regulating the transfer of pension rights both from and towards the pan- European pension scheme of the European Union

The National Assembly adopted at the sitting on January 29, 2010, on first reading, amendments to the Social Security Code. The changes are directed at regulating the transfer of pension rights from and towards the special pension scheme of the European Union. Another important change covers art. 6 of the Code, resulting from the EU legislation’s requirements covering the retirement contributions of employees sent to another member state of the EU.
