National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva received an honorary diploma for her contributions to the implementation of the European Community’s legal regulations aimed at promoting the social dialogue between all social partners and in particular those responsible for the people with disabilities. The diploma was conferred to Mrs. Tsetska Tsacheva by Paolo Likandro, Deputy Secretary-General of the European People's Party Group in the European Parliament, on the proposal of the Bulgarian organizations, working in the field of integration of people with disabilities.
George Tsifitsis, Vice President of the Global Movement of People with Disabilities handed in person the Diploma to the National Assembly President in the presence of Dr. Diana Indzhova, Director of the Center for Psychological Studies and Ivan Karagyozov, Secretary of the Global Movement of People with Disabilities .

The high distinction comes at a time when the Bulgarian parliament is passing amendments to the Integration of Persons with Disabilities Act, in recognition of Mrs. Tsacheva’s personal efforts, support and empathy towards the people with disabilities and their social integration, a delicate and complicated for regulation social sphere.

The Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly and Chair of the Committee on Health in the 41st National Assembly, Dr Lachezar Ivanov, received also an award for his strong support of the European policies in regard to people with disabilities, their national organizations and the protection of their human rights, reflected in the adopted Integration of Persons with Disabilities Act in Bulgaria. The award is given for his personal participation in the detailed elaboration of the important changes in the law.

National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva noted that the distinctions come also as recognition of the lawmakers in the 41st National Assembly and the MPs of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy and stated that it was also an evidence of the high responsibility of the parliament and its obligation to continue the dialogue with the various social groups in Bulgaria.
