Parliament has appointed Hristina Mitreva as the new head of the National Social Security Institute (NSSI)

It was decided that Hristina Mitreva will hold the post until May 2013. Mitreva, previously Deputy Minister of Social and Labour Policy, vowed to work on improving NSSI's communication at all levels and forging greater transparency in its work.
Among her priorities are improving NSSI financial framework and stability, reducing dependence on the state budget, improving the collection of social securities and expanding electronic services.
