Last amendments to the Health Insurance Act advise Bulgarian citizens to carry the European health card while traveling in the European Union

The National Assembly adopted on 1 April 2010, amendments to the Health Insurance Act. The European health card is a document, which proves that the bearer is covered by health insurance in the country in which he/she resides. According to the amendments Bulgarian citizens are advised, not obliged to carry the card while traveling throughout the countries of the European Union.
