The National Assembly adopted, the proposed by the Blue Coalition, resolution to review once again the Foreign Debt of Bulgaria conversion transaction, carried out back in 2002 and 2003, and the consequences it had on Bulgarian taxpayers. The parliament recommended to the Minister of Finance to assign the assessment to the Agency for Economic Analysis and Forecast, which helped by external experts to check whether the authorities back then had taken into account all political, economic and financial factors while preparing and implementing the transaction.

Finance Minister Simeon Djankov informed the deputies on the legislative package of anti-crisis measures, prepared by the government and said it will be presented to them next week. He noted that the Council of Ministers was ready with the draft legislation for the reform in the public administration.
