Bulgaria has achieved significant progress on its road to EU membership, and the good performance of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior and Minister Georgi Petkanov has contributed to this process, German Minister of Interior stated during his meeting with the President of the National Assembly Ognian Gerdjikov.

Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov acquainted his guest with the adopted by Parliament amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria related to the judiciary reform. These amendments will be followed by more reforms of the judiciary, he added.

Prof. Gerdjikov expressed satisfaction with the very good relations between the two countries, including interior affairs.
