The National Assembly passed on 20 May 2010 amendments to the Health Act. The latter prohibit the presence of children under 18 years of age in places where smoking is allowed, as well as their presence in allocated for smokers areas in restaurants. The law increases the fines for violations and imposes the liability on the owners of the entertainment facilities. It also makes it mandatory that smoking areas in restaurants and coffee shops represent less than half of the total area.
