National Assembly President Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah discussed opportunities for cooperation between Bulgaria and Kuwait.

Later on, the guest will leave to Madrid at an international donors’ conference on the reconstruction of Iraq. Sheikh Al-Sabah underlined at the meeting that Bulgaria and Kuwait could participate jointly in the process of the reconstruction of Iraq. The two were categorical that Iraq should be given chance for democratic governance and leadership elected by the Iraqi state.

Kuwaiti side showed interest for investments in Bulgaria. “We hope a group for friendship between the parliaments of Bulgaria and Kuwait would be formed soon to strengthen the relations not just between the two states but the two peoples,” said the Kuwaiti guest.
