Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski " will receive BGN 2 million, saved from the budget of the National Assembly in 2010, President Tsetska Tsacheva announced before journalists, after a meeting she held with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov and the University President, Prof. Ivan Ilchev. According to the accounting books, at the end of October, the budget of the National Assembly has saved on fuel for the car fleet of the parliament, on travel expenses of its members and on capital expenditures.

The Prime Minister noted that the target transfer of funds will be approved at the next meeting of the government.

For his part, Prof. Ivan Ilchev pointed out that the redirection of these funds aims at supporting quality education and science, emphasizing the importance of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski" as a benchmark for quality education.
