That is what National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva told at a special meeting, held on December 14, 2010, the media representatives accredited to the National Assembly. She opened also the annual exhibition: "The parliamentary year through the eyes of photojournalists”.
Tsetska Tsacheva noted that during the Fourth session the parliament has adopted specific laws that represent a step forward in implementing the government’s priority to enter the Schengen area and tackle the organized crime and corruption. She mentioned the amendments passed to the Prevention and Disclosure of Conflict of Interests Act and to the Criminal Procedure Code.
As far as new moments in connection with the parliamentary control practice, she pointed that it was decided to disclose in the plenary the reasons why a question or interpellation is not accepted for consideration.
Tsetska Tsacheva stressed that on the initiative of NGOs, the NA has created several public registers, including one recording the names of experts and assistants employed by the members of parliament.
The exhibition "The parliamentary year through the eyes of photojournalists” was organized by the Parliamentary Press Center and accredited photojournalists. The exposition shows 20 photo panels depicting interesting and important events of the work of the 41st National Assembly in the expiring 2010.
