U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell sent a letter to the President of the National Assembly Prof. Ognian Gerdjikov to thank for the receiving of a medal commemorating the 100th anniversary of U.S. – Bulgarian diplomatic relations and the book, The Bulgarians and the Americans.
“Your gifts will always remind me of the warm reception I received from the Bulgarian people when I visited your beautiful country to commemorate our centennial,” the letter says.
