They presented the President of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva with their hand made martenitsas (adornment made of red and white yarn). The little guests decorated with martenitsas also members of the parliament and employees. On occasion of the traditional holiday Baba Marta (believed to mark the beginning of spring), the children’s group for authentic folklore performed folk songs and dances from the region of the Rhodope Mountains.
The President of the National Assembly thanked the children for the beauty and color they brought in the parliament with their martenitsas. She wished them to enjoy their youthfulness and to keep preserving and showing the Bulgarian traditions.
The small guests made a tour of the National Assembly and were presented with the educational booklet named “Our parliament”.
