National Assembly pays a minute of silence in memory of the Holocaust victims.

On March 10th, 2011 the National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva opened the plenary sitting recalling the 68th anniversary since the operation for rescuing of Bulgarian Jews. She pointed out that due to the many sufferings and life twists Bulgarians have been through in their history, they have learned to communicate with and comprehend different people. That is how one can explain one of the most important and glorious events in the XXth century history of Bulgaria – the rescue of the Jews. She added that exactly the relations, based on understanding, made common the mutual invitations and attendance of priests, rabies and imams at the religious holiday services of the other denominations. She pointed out that together with freedom and democracy, the ability to communicate is a value that unites the members of Bulgarian parliament.
