National Assembly President Tsetska Tsacheva and other members of the parliament attended, today May 2, 2011 the celebrations on the occasion of the 135 years since the April Uprising at the historic site “Oborishte”.Tsetska Tsacheva delivered a speech. The commemoration began with a solemn church service and wreath laying at the monument.

The national award “Oborishte”, established by the Association of the Revival Towns of Bulgaria, was bestowed to the writer from the town of Perushtitca Mihail Krustev and to the Executive Director of the mining company “Asarel Medet” AD Mr. Lutchezar Tsotsorov. The award is handed out for contributions to the preservation and strengthening of Bulgarian national identity.
