Payments of real estate transactions over 10 000 levs effected by a notary will be done through the notary’s special account or through a bank account chosen by the parties in the transaction. These are amendments passed at second reading to the Notaries and Notarial Practice Act. The amendments oblige the parties in the transaction to declare that the price written in the title is the real one. The amendments are to take effect on July 1, 2011.
