The Seventh Session of the 41st National Assembly has started

The Seventh session of the 41st National Assembly was opened. The plenary sitting began with declarations made by the parliamentary groups with respect to their priorities during the autumn session. The statements were broadcasted live through the Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian National Radio.


 


The members of parliament have adopted the weekly work program. The first to be considered are amendments to the Disaster Protection Law, tabled by the Council of Ministers. The weekly agenda includes also the first reading of amendments to the Administrative Regulation of the Production and Trade of Optical Disks, Matrices and Other Media Carrying Works Protected by Copyright and Neighboring Rights and to the Privatization and Post-Privatization Control Laws. The list includes as well the 2010 Report of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the first reading of the Euthanasia Law and the first reading on the Addenda to the Judiciary Law and the Law on Family Allowances for Children, the amendments to the Currency Law and the Insurance Code. The National Assembly is to consider a draft resolution assigning the National Audit Office the audit of the distribution, the receiving and spending of the additional subsidy to the budget of the political parties, to which the independent members of parliament had previously been affiliated.
