“Good luck! I am convinced this sport of the strong, the perseverant and the fit will attract more and more young people", said the vice president of the National Assembly at the opening of the 61st International Bicycle Tour of Bulgaria. The prestigious sport event began on September 11, 2011 at the square in front of the National Assembly.

This year the tour is held under the patronage of National Assembly president Ms Tsetska Tsacheva. 126 cyclists from 19 foreign and two Bulgarian teams are taking part in the competition.

Mr. Anastas Anastasov greeted the participants on behalf of the National Assembly president Tsetska Tsacheva and the deputies of the 41st National Assembly. He noted the participants will not only be able to show their sportsmanship but will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the natural beauties of Bulgaria.
