Substitute mothers could only be paid the necessary expenses for the temporary leave of absence, the amount of the medical expenses needed for the good health during pregnancy, for the delivery and the after delivery period. The new provisions define the meaning of substitute motherhood – a contractual relationship between a married couple and another woman, willing to carry out their fetus conceived through assisted reproduction methods, where genetic material of the couple is used.
