02/11/2011

An exhibition under the title“Young German and Bulgarian Painters” is at display at the National Assembly. At the opening the President of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva noted that the initiative aims at enhancing the cooperation in the field of culture between the two friendly European states. “I could assure you the development of the cultural relations between Bulgaria and Germany has always been a priority of the Bulgarian parliament”, stated Tsetska Tsacheva. She noticed that  the next day a delegation from Germany was to pay a visit to the National Assembly with the purpose to select interns for the program called “International parliamentary practice” of the German Bundestag. Bulgaria’s parliament has been a partner to the program for many years. The initiative is held under the auspices of the Bundestag’s chairman.

“I sincerely hope that we as parliamentarians will continue to contribute to projects like this one and to the educational and cultural initiatives between young people of the two countries”, added the chair of parliament.

The exhibition is hosted by Bulgaria’s parliament Committee on Culture, Civil Society and Media, chaired by MP Daniela Petrova.

The project aims to present the many faces and diversity of the contemporary world, seen through the eyes of young artists working in the fields of painting, photography and visual arts. The exhibition presents works of young Bulgarian and German painters.
