The National Assembly adopted at first reading amendments to the War Veterans Act. The changes envisage the provision of more medical and dental services for free to war veterans. The expenses will be included in the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund. The draft bill was moved by the Coalition of Bulgaria members of parliament Angel Naidenov and Evgeniy Gelev. The draft law also proposes an allowance of BGN 500 for the relatives of a deceased veteran to help with funeral expenses. The allowance will be covered by the state budget.
During the parliamentary control session of the National Assembly the Finance Minister Simeon Djiankov, the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traycho Traikov, the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Totyu Mladenov, the Minister of Health Stefan Konstantinov and the Minister of Agriculture and Foods Miroslav Naidenov have answered questions of members of the parliament.
