The President of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva has sent on 17 January 2012 a congratulatory address to Martin Schulz in connection with his election as President of the European parliament.
“Behind your election stand expectations for reassertion of the European parliament’s prestige among the citizens of Europe. You take over this high position at times when Europe experiences hardships, when it could and should mobilize a new intellectual and constructive energy” writes in the address the president of the Bulgarian parliament.
“Today, more than ever before it is important to find the perfect combination between the interests and aspirations of each Member State and each citizen that will contribute to the consolidation of the European Union. I am convinced that you will contribute all your proven political experience and enthusiasm for the achievement of this goal”, continues the letter.
In the address the president of the Bulgarian parliament reiterates that Bulgaria would continue to be one of the most loyal and responsible members of the EU in the coming years. Tsetska Tsacheva wishes Martin Schulz to work from his position for a stronger and more united European Union.
